During their two-month working stay, they will follow current developments in the country, but also gain an impression of journalism in the host country.<\/p>\n<p>Promoting cross-national exchange and cooperation between fellows is another important aspect of the fellowship. The dialog and cooperation with other fellows creates synergies and new perspectives that can contribute to the further development of German-Polish reporting. The fellows have the opportunity to expand their network and build long-term connections. This is immediately followed by an eight-week stay with a Polish or German medium. IJP selects the respective host medium in consultation with the scholarship holders and with regard to their interests and qualifications. During their placements the Fellows are integrated into the workflow of the host media, but also work on their own journalistic projects and report for the media in their home country.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<div class=\"flex__item one-third lg-one-half sm-one-whole margin-bottom\">\n\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"inner\"><h2>Application<\/h2>\n<p>Applications are open to German and Polish journalists aged between the ages of 22 and 35 who regularly work as freelancers, journalists, reporters or editors for German or Polish newspapers, radio stations, TV stations or online editorial offices.<\/p>\n<p>Language skills in the respective language of the host country are <strong>NOT<\/strong> required. A working knowledge of English is expected in any case. Further details on the necessary application documents can be found in the current call for applications.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<div class=\"flex__item one-third lg-one-half sm-one-whole margin-bottom\">\n\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"inner\"><h2>Scholarship<\/h2>\n<p>The scholarship holders receive a one-time payment of 4,000 euros. The amount is intended to cover part of the travel costs, meals and accommodation. All additional costs must be borne by the participants themselves.
